For those of you who have been wondering what the concurring themes in my latest poems have been relating to, for those of you wondering for what reason that moon-like crest keeps apearing in my art, and for those just looking to read, indulge, and/or critique: "Icarus and Alcie Chapter 1: Down The Wishing Well" is finished. However, this piece I feel is too long to post on DA and I would also like to protect it as much as I can (despite it's public publication on facebook). I am currently mid-way through chapter 2 and have starting writing chapter 4 (I needed to keep myself interested in the story so I skipped to writing the good part, for my sake). - He is in love. Icarus quite literally falls for the girl of his dreams, Alice. She is the only one. However when Icarus decides to persue his desires and enters Alice's world, it is soon obvious that wonderland is not as it had seemed, and neither is Alice. Icarus blindly follows Alice through her trials and tribulations in the post apocalyptic wonderland in hopes of winning her heart. But be careful what you wish for. In this romantic, psycological, sociopolitical thriller we explore the crude and absurd behaviors of our race concerning nature versus free will as we follow Icarus and Alice: the prose, the addiction, the obsession.... -
